Calcium ion + dilute sulphuric acid will form some white precipitate. How to take all of the calcium ion in the milk? 6. What is calcium sulphate 7. How to make sure that all the calcium sulphate that formed when calcium ion is added to dilute sulphuric acid is totally pure? Please you can help. I really need the ans ! Thanks you

最佳解答:

1. not really. 2. probably yes. calcium mainly exists in form of calcium ion. unless you're talking about solid calcium supplement or egg shells (contain insoluble calcium carbonate), calcium ion content is same as calcium content. 3. difficult. by unaided eyes is not favorable -- organic substances like protein can burn to give yellow flame, interfering your observation. unless you detect by monochromator (UV-visible spectrophotometry), it's not a good way to determine calcium content. 4. EDTA titration is already convenient. if you can gain access to some instrumentation, OES (optical emission spectrometry) is good way to start. at high temperature, calcium emits a specific light with wavelength of 393.4nm. measure intensity of such light for the sample and a set of standard solutions. ... EDTA test without titration may be possible. a UV-visible spectrophotometer may help. just like EDTA-titration, but just measure intensity of color / transmittance of light of the solution. 5. filtration may do. however, at acidic medium proteins may also precipitate. you may want to collect all these precipitate, dry in oven, then heat it strongly. this ashes -- combusts and burns -- the precipitate, decomposing all organic matter, leaving inorganic salts, mainly calcium sulphate. 6. insoluble white substance, formed when soluble calcium salts and soluble sulphate salts are mixed. can be used to make tofu and sculpture. naturally found as gypsum. 7. see 5.
